Leaps and Bounds sent us the Melissa and Doug Flip to Win Wooden Travel Games to try out, and my girls were all over them! Grandma and Grandpa came over one evening, and while Daddy and I were cooking dinner, they started playing the Memory Game. It was so hard to get them to put it down to eat dinner!

These games are awesome for travel for a few reasons.

1. There aren’t a bunch of little pieces to lose! The tiles are tethered to the board with bungee cords!

2. They’re easy for my girls to pass back and forth between each other in the car to take turns. No fighting!

3. They’re easy to keep clean! Just wipe them down with a damp cloth!

4. They’re super affordable, and super durable! Only $12.95 each and they’ll last a long time!

Although the recommendation is ages 5+ for the memory game, my girls were playing it at age 3… the Hangman, they just need to know how to spell. (We’re working on that)

Mommy Brain Reports Holiday Giveaway Roundup!

December 1st – December 15th 2008

Being a mom of twins, diapers were the one thing I dreaded buying every payday. Well, even more often than that when the girls were first born. We had to get the preemie and newborn diapers at the grocery stores or Walmart. We typically bought them at walmart where we could save a couple of dollars off of the grocery store prices. 

Once they got into size 2 diapers though, we started buying them at warehouse stores! We found that using the Kirkland brand diapers saved us a lot of money. At Sam’s Club, you can buy Huggies or their brand diapers as well. 

Diapers.com is another option to get discounted diapers as well, but it doesn’t do very good if you’re in need of diapers NOW! You definitely have to plan ahead for this purchase, but if you do, you’ll save quite a bit of cash!

The best thing for us though… I was so glad when the girls were potty trained.
