I had no idea any thermometer could actually detect fluid in the ear AND was save to use on childen as young as 6 months old. How amazing.

I learned that the EarCheck can help direct parents when to take their little one to a physician for possible ear infection.

I love that it is FDA approved – finally, a way to save a trip to the doctor’s office because he’s acting strange and I think there may be an ear infection!

The signs of a middle ear infection can range from mild to severe, but often include the following:

* Fluid in the middle ear
* Runny/stuffy nose or cough
* Irritability
* Pulling or rubbing the ear (indicating ear pain)
* Decrease in appetite
* Fever
