Happy Independence Day!

I had been pondering how I was going to write a post for this July 4th, and almost on cue, this email arrived in my inbox. It was perfect and had to share.

Hi Monica,

This is NOT related to Hurricanes, but perhaps  your readers would like to click on this during the holiday weekend. It’s a real reminder of what sacrifice is all about….
and I’m sure the military families who read you will know someone just like the person we profiled (mind you he is rather special).

    I’m sitting here with my husband who is a veteran, and we were discussing how important it is that tomorrow we remember those who are out there around the world sacrificing for our family, and especially those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for us. We should never forget that this is a big part of what July 4th is all about. Even though our kids are very young, we will celebrate and pay tribute to all the great men and women all over the world risking their lives to keep us safe.
