MommyBrain needs a MacBookPro!

Ok… so I want need a new MacBookPro… nothing outrageous… just a 15″ MacBookPro with some bells and whistles. Something that’s going to help me edit and upload awesome photos, edit and produce amazing vlogs and event videos, and something that’s going to last me a long time. I’m tired of carrying Windows around with me. All I can do on Windows is email, blog and tweet. I need to have iMovie, iShowU, Wiretap Studio, Snapz Pro, etc. There are so many Mac apps I have to to rely on to help me create content for the web, and it’s become too difficult to find equivilents for Windows. I want to be more productive when I go to conferences!!!! I want to have the best information available for my readers!

I was thinking about how much I use my computer and with travelling to different conferences throughout the year I should offer permanent Ad space on the lid of my MacBookPro for any business that donates toward my MBP Fund.

For $50 per square inch, you will get your businesses name/logo LASER ENGRAVED on my lid. Of course, the larger your donation amount, the bigger your logo will be! That means that every conference I go to, every single event that I go to, even when I’m just hanging out at a Meetup event, the airport, or coffee shop… your business will be seen. I won’t hide my laptop… I will show it off with pride! I’m looking for businesses of all kinds… just please be family friendly!

I will Tweet sponsors as I get the donations. I will also be recording the laser engraving process from design of the laptop lid to finish of the engraving, and posting it on my blog, and YouTube.

  • @SarahMae Thanks for the suggestion. I am actually pursuing larger companies via Twitter and Email! I have sent out several emails to companies that I have worked with before as well as some that I think might be interested. Actually... the logos would turn out pretty well up to 40 of them... Some are larger and some are smaller depending on how much space a company would like to purchase. I've also reconsidered the donation thing. Although a nice gesture, you are right. I will continue to pursue sponsors for the ad space with no time limits...

    Why don't you actively look for two or three big sponsors instead of a bunch of little ones - otherwise the logo thing on the laptop isn't very effective if you have 20. Also, I don't think anyone is going to give toward the laptop if ultimately the money may go toward a charity instead of laptop - the business loses out - especially if they donated a lot to get a bigger logo spot. I would try contacting businesses by email and offering them the opportunity. :)

  • I feel you on that. I need a new computer for school. My current one, an Acer, has just about had it, it's only been slightly over a year. Sad really. I take very good care of my things, most of the time.

    If I am able to get a Macbook Pro, I will not eat or drink near it. Promise. Wish you the best with your fund.
