Review & Giveaway: Thermos Intak

Intak-AdultsWith all of the talk about BPA in plastic, we did a lot of research, and thought it would be a good idea to try to lessen our exposure to this chemical, even if it’s just a little, by changing what we use for drinking water. We have glass cups in the house, but when we’re out, we very often take water with us. We used to buy bottled water, and just kept it in the refrigerator, but then we saw what an impact those water bottles are on the environment. We did toss them in our city recycling cans in CA, but here in NC, we don’t have that option.

I am very bad at drinking enough water throughout the day. I don’t know if I’m just not thirsty, or if I just completely zone out when it comes to drinking water. I just know that I don’t drink enough of it, unless I’m keeping track for some reason. When I was pregnant with my girls, I drank more water than I ever had in my life. Once they were born, my bad habit came back, and it didn’t take long. Back then, I think I was just too busy to think about doing much else anyway. Twins kind of do that to you though.

More recently, with my new found love for working out, and trying to get myself on a healthier track, I made it a point to drink more water, and keep accountable for it. I heard about a water bottle that would do just such a thing! The Thermos Intāk BPA free water bottle has a dial on the lid that keeps track of how many bottles of water you drink. Each bottle of water is 20 oz, and you can track up to 6 water bottles per day. It has a leak-proof lid, and a one hand push button to pop the lid open to drink! It’s perfect for when you are multitasking! There’s also a flip up carrying loop for hands free transportation! Clip it to your stroller while walking, or pop it in the bike bottle cage. It goes everywhere with you!

More importantly, Thermos has partnered with Charity: Water and is participating in the Hydration for All campaign. It is their goal to provide information to help active families stay happy, healthy and hydrated!

Thanks to Thermos, Mommy Brain Reports is giving away two Intak bottles in the color of the winner’s choice (blue, pink, green, purple)! All you have to do is leave me a comment telling me how you like to stay hydrated!
