Walmart’s Gamer Network

Parents.. If you want to know more about the games your kids are playing, you’ve got to check this out! Walmart now has a great support system across the United States of professional gamers who provide product information, and reviews online and in-store. This is a great resource for parents who may not know the gamer world so well, but are looking for information on games for their kids, specifically for the holidays.

The Gamer Network has launched a new twitter site that is solely dedicated to moms, providing video game education and tools for finding family-friendly gaming solutions. This channel will be used to educate moms and provide them with the tools to make healthy gaming choices for the whole family. The Twitter handle is manned by real, live Gamers allowing users to have instant access to an expert.  It’s a great online resource to purchase video games for families and drive the twitter handle as a go-to spot for questions around any and all video games, with real gamers there to support and provide extensive knowledge

As a Walmart Mom, I was provided with a gift card,  to purchase two family-friendly video games, and learn more about the Gamer Network. Some Walmart stores have members of The Gamer Network in-store in the gaming section to assist in game selection. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to meet up with our local Gamer Network, but luckily, I’m pretty into some of these games myself, so I know what to look for and what to expect!

We went shopping and bought Just Dance 4 for the Xbox360 with Kinect, and Skylanders Giants Started Pack for the Wii. Both games are pretty cool. My girls and I really LOVE Just Dance 4. I especially love the exercise portion of it! It’s a lot of fun, and believe or not, something you can break out during parties!!!

We had so much fun playing with our games, and I know I’ll be using the Just Dance 4 a lot in the near future!

There’s a lot to learn about all the different games available for the various game consoles, so, if you want to learn more, check out the new Walmart Gamer’s Network!!!
